UPDATES ON MASSES IN SMC
NEW SOPs STARTING FROM 1ST MAY 2022
1. Pre-registration is no longer required. (since 12/2/2022)
All individuals including the unvaccinated (except for those under Home Surveillance Order/those Covid positive/displaying respiratory infections)
may walk in for public mass in SMC.
2. Everyone MUST BE fully masked whenever indoors or outdoors in the church compound.
3. Families may sit close together to maximise seating capacity.
4. Children or anyone with health issues who cannot be properly masked indoors are encouraged to stay home and follow the mass online at our YouTube channel.
WEEKEND MASSES
Please note that from July 2022 onwards, the Sunday morning mass in English will revert back to 8.00am, not 8.30am.
For those unable to attend physical mass, SMC masses on weekends can be followed online via our SMC YouTube channel.

Newcomers may be interested to know that we are the only church in Ipoh with a first-class relic of the Italian saint known fondly as Padre Pio. The relic
consists of St Pio's blood on a part of the stained mittens which he wore during his life. Click here to read more about

The Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a new instruction on the burial of the dead and on the
conservation of the ashes in cases of cremation, on 25th October 2016. Click here to read in detail about

The SMC Religious Articles Centre has a wide selection of religious gifts including bibles, crucifixes,rosaries, religious books, medals, statues
and loads more items suitable for baptism gifts, Christmas and other seasons. Come pay us a visit every weekend before or
after masses and on Saturday mornings from 9.30 a.m. to noon.
SMC RECYCLING PROJECT
You may bring your recyclable items to the recycle bin located next to the new columbarium opposite the Oak. Please separate the items according to the following
categories - plastic / paper / tins / old clothes / electrical items. Please do NOT bring any items other than those within the categories stated.
Please ensure the old clothes are properly packed in plastic to prevent them from getting wet.
